Pinstriped Gets G1 Glory

Pinstriped - 113/111 as horse and barn grab maiden G1.

Its was another staggeringly good day once again where the winners just kept flowing and more importantly the numbers just kept lining up

Caulfield

R1 MR84 1400m
Lovazou was our 1 x 3 top pick Gold Miner to start the day and after being held up early in the straight she drove through for 3rd after being back $5 to $3.8. I predicted 97 and got 89/92  but our run continued The winner was resuming 4yo Fire Of Etna who had run a career best SR92 2 back before being caught wide the trip to end campaign. 94/97 suggests she has come on and can only be suited by step up in trip. As for the runner up  Jennipending, I have long told you that at some point in a horses first 10 starts they have a 10 point quantum jump. She had 87/94 in a 1400m win last time in but best SR in next 4 was 82. 93/98  also suggests she has come on plenty. Should be a nice form race going forward.

R2 BM78 1400m
Chock full of confidence we were then strongly into our $2 rated top pick Craig. I had him a 100 horse going in raving about the Rise At dawn form going in which was franked here and again by that horse later in the day as new season 3yo's make a mark. 98/104 here ina soft 2 length confirms me belief that this one is very progressive. I cant believe we got $3.4 about him. Even better we had the $3.2 Fav The Open rated $4.20 and was a happy bullet dodged.. 89/93 was down on the 96 I predicted. El Rockos XR 94 was the only other XR in the 90's.

R3 BM78 1800m
Top pick Fretta came out increasing concerns after a poor one at previous. This left  91 horse Matthew on top who  ran 2nd. I predicted 89 and got 89/90, the winner Convenor was coming off back to back duck eggs and a pair of SR 59's but found best of 91/94. Did have an SR 90 at 2050  at Moe last time in but still hard to find.

R4 OPH 2000m
Back to business with top pick at $4.40 rated Young Werther winning at just that quote, i had him a 99 horse going in but XR 110 is franked by XR 108 to end last campaign, along with Xr's of 104 and 103 in2 more wins last season. I had runner up Duke De Sessa  at 96 going in knowing this staying ype as confirmed Xr 109 over ground last time in. He looks in for a nice season. #rd placed Geap Up was a result for Gold Miners getting out to $17. 96/105 was good  and another nice first up effort by a stayer who looks in for a great campaign as well

R5 G3 1200m
Scratchings left us with only 5 but 107 horse and $1.80 top pick Recommended did what we expected,  jumped on the bunny and won with another SR 107. A front runner that can run time is a thing of pure joy. Kallos chased hard but had every chance with SR 104 with 3rd place 3 lengths away

R6 3yo G3  1200m
3rd top pick on the bounce with the $2.4 rated at 97 horse Growing Empire most impressive with SR 106. He was $2.86 into $2.50 before winning by a length. Someone put up $22 about the $9 rated runner up Wonder Boy on Betfair and would of been sweating  when he was into $5 by the jump SR 101 another nice step at start 3.. We dodged Stay Focused and I drew you attention to the weak XR's of 85 and 80 he had, well XR 76 here suggests we were on the right track.

R7 Mares G3 1200m
3rd pick Quintessa got you Quaddies off to a good start winning at $12, this girl ran 4th in an Oaks so to see SR 99 at 1200m fresh suggests she is in for a good campaign. I had runner up Extratwo a 95 horse going in and got SR 96 and I had 3rd placed La Danseuse Rouge a 96 horse going in and got just that, running the best closing splits an an XR 3 better than winner and 5 better than runner up. Again numbers lining up super.

R8 Listed 1700m
We have been cashing in on the Rise At Dawn formline and Craig earlier in the day confirmed our confidence in our equal top pick here. I had him 101 going in and got 100 here in a gritty performance where you were happy to have the 6/4 fav fall in from 2 roughies charging late It was a slowly run sit and spring with 6th placed Jimmy the Bear running the 2nd best closing splits some 8 better than the winner getting home last 400m nearly a second faster., even Bankers Choice behind him was better home 22.4  and 93/102 being +9. Again this will be a strong race going forward.

R9 G1 1400m
3es pick Pinstriped got him and his barn their Maiden G1, I had this 105 horse at $11.80 and he was $17 into $14 before running down Mr Brightside rating 113/111, the runner up outstanding again with 111/109 but boy the resuming   Pride Of Jenni showed none of her dash nor kick and was awful with 90/83. Nice to see G1 numbers in a G1 race and the Quaddie got a nice boost with the winner at $14.

R10 BM100 1400m
We ended the day with another top pick demoloition with $2.4 rated 104 horse Another Will showing a devastating turn of foot, home 22 flat for 97/110, runner up Here To Shock Xr 99, Bank Maur XR98 and Jennilala XR99 all sound but no match at all. . The winner paid a handsome $3.30 after much better was offered on betfair earlier. and gave them a cold he by so fast. We found the $2200 Quad in our top 3.

Plenty to follow from this meet.

we are off to Moonee Valley next week for just the 2 Listed races with the McKenzie and the Atlantic Jewel. All eyes back to Sydney this week for Chelmsford Day at RWK and 3 big G2's.
