In the heart of New Zealand's Hawke's Bay region, LIVAMOL Classic Day at Hastings beckons, offering a quality 10-race card. With a capricious spring leaving soft & heavy tracks in its wake, anticipation runs high for a potentially drier GOOD 3 or GOOD 4 surface. As seasoned racegoers know, track conditions can be the ultimate wildcard in horse racing, reshaping the odds and strategy, and that's very much been the case during this NZ Spring. In the quest for some clarity amid a wet season, Marvin's ratings emerge as a guiding light. Mustang Valley stands out as the mare to beat in the G1 Livamol Classic having showcased her dominance in the Arrowfield Stud Plate. Trying to extract some value will be the challenge. In race 5, the spotlight shines on a couple of promising four-year-olds, with Adam I Am catching the eye of many after a stellar performance at Matamata. The Spring Sprint, a race with a rich history, sees a G1 mare from the Te Akau stable as the deserved favourite.
