Is the 1800m just what the Doctor ordered for Joy Of Spring. 

Its a cracking days racing ahead at Shatin and here how I think it plays out. 

Best Bets

Race 2 sees the first strong play with 10. HAPPY FOR ALL: Forgive last start on that Soft track, there were plenty of odd results that day, go on his 2nd with the XR 94 this T&D 2 back. On that he is a lovely 1 x 3 play at the $4.70. That is followed by an interesting contest in Race 4 where a few progressive types take to the track again. 

 I am looking forward to the next run of 1. LUCY IN THE SKY: Was a nice overlay result for us last start, overcoming trouble at the start before recording 101/101, that was after +11 2 back. Gets 3kg but hard fit 4th run in and is better than C4 grade. His XR of 101 was 8 better than runner up Glory Elite who does get a nice weight swing and looks a nice win bet Bonus Bet style at $2.50

We back up quickly with another who looks to have hoof right on till. 4. JOY OF SPRING: is an 8 start Maiden who looks to have hoof right on till having found the podium his last 3 over a mile and 1650m,, +10, +11 and +11 there suggesting crying out for the 9 furlongs. He looks lovely 1 x 3 play at $3.60

Into Race 8 we get to see another lightly raced type coming off a big 3 lengths 100/104 win, I have him 6/4 off an expected rating of only 94  as he does get harshly handicapped. That runner is 1. SUNNY DA BEST: Got out to this trip at start 3 , was well backed and won by 3 rating 100/104. Gets a massive 5kg which seems harsh but on that does look better than C4 grade.  Looks a nice 1 x 3 play at $3.6 despite the big impost.

We can round out the day with one that has been good to us but whiom we dodged last time out.That is, 4. PATCH OF THETA: Was good to us winning 2 on the bounce and last start was a bullet dodged when 3rd at 41.90. that 102/106 under 59.5kg 3 back this T&D in the grade below still rings very loud 

Gold Miners 

The value plays which we also call Gold Miners, simply a horse whose current price is 50% greater than assessed price.

They kick off in the first with 5. COMMANDING MISSILE: Was a big value overlay placing for us in similar last start when having first run down in C5 company. 86/90 there reads well with my only concern that 12 gate that leaves him open to a 3 wide trip intransit.  Despite the gate he remains a 1 x 3 Gold Miner at $12.

In Race 3 we have one rated  $8.20 which is $13 that is 1. HEALTHY HAPPY: That speed will come from this guy, who will find this much easier than last 3 in G1 and G2 company but interestingly is yet to find the podium in 4 C1 runs under the big weights. Can dictate here.

The other piece of notable value is the $15 about the  $9.8 rated  9. CHAMPION INSTINCT in the last. Won 3 on the bounce in the grade below before being far from disgraced first run this grade.

Money Movers

Onto the Money Movers, I use the HK tote, my opening prices go in when the win pool in the first gets to $300K, that is already $6Million this morning and will still rise plenty with all the big syndicates hooked up late.

In the first  the $9.4 rated 1 . COLONEL  has been $9.8 to $7.4 with Jazz Club $24 to $13 off a couple of duck eggs noteworthy

Debutant 5. SUPER INFINITY  with ZP up has been $4.7 to $3.5 and that looks significant money. The other debutant and Hugh Bowman  7. THE WINNABE has been $4.80 to $4.30

In Race 3 a small field of 6 contest. We note our Gold Miner Happy Healthy has been $8.2 out to $13. 3. PACKING TREADMILL has been $4.6 to $3.2. My price $8,20.  Whilst the $6.60 6. SUPREME LUCKY has been  $7.20 to $5.30

R4 sees the $7.10 rated  2. YOU'REMYEVERYTHING: drift from $4.70 to $8.4 and we see key money for a first starter here in 4 FUN N FUN TOGETHER. he is $14 into $7.70 Also money for another debutant 5. HAROLD WIN who has been $17 to $9.70.

R5 the $9.4 rated  3. FLYING MOJITO: has been $9.1 to $6.8 with other notable monet for 1 YOUNG BRILLIANT  who has been $22 into $9.80 as he peaks 3rd up out in trip.

R6 The $14 rated 4. VOLCANIC SPARK:has been $10 to $6.8, into R7 Fav ad top pick  8. VOYAGE SAMURAI: has been $4.7 to $4.20 whilst the $10.20 rated 14. AEROINVINCIBLE: has been $22 to $12. Into R8 our top pick 1. SUNNY DA BEST: has been rock solid $3.6 into $3.4.

Into R9 we have Ex Aussie 2. MOJAVE DESERT: making debut for david Hayes and he has been $24 to $14 whilst top pick 4. FULL CREDIT: has been  $4.8 to $4.40 and remains value. Into the last ZP's mount 3. YOUNG ACHIEVER has been $11 to $7.10 and top pick 4. PATCH OF THETA: who was verging on Gold Miner status at  $6.50 when odds went up but into $3.70 now. Still value mind you.
