Its been a big few weeks for Horsetorque as the new staking plan has created a wave of interest I havent experienced in quite some time, I have long wondered why Aussies didnt embrace the Fishbowl that is HK but The Gold Standard has changed that.

R3 3. DRAGON AIR FORCE: ZP bailed on this guy last start when having first run on the AWT but the money just kept coming and he was a dominant 92/99 this T&D. Gets 3kg but those are C3 numbers and he remains in C4 company and does so mapping sweetly in the Golden 7 with MC up he is a Gold Standard Place bet but he is $1 money back the place at this stage with $HK 750K in the pool. We will have to see where we are in the morning but $1.35 looks a long way off. Still only $1.10.

R4 1. SUNNY DA BEST: Strips hard fit 4th run back coming off a 2nd in similar last start where XR 90 reads super and he does have 100/104 over 1400m in his short career so you know he is going to be strong late ZP getting back from 8 has him a 1 x 3 Gold Standard Play

8. INVINCIBLE LUCKY: Last starts 88/93 when 2nd this T&D at only start 6 and 2nd run this time in. That is franked by XR 93 last time in, he maps in the Golden 7 with Bavdu up so is a Gold Standard Place Play.

R5 12. LUCKY FIONN: This lightly raced 5yo is a 7 start Maiden but not for long, he ended last campaign with a 2nd and an XR 96 and resumed with a big 94/100 after being 3 wide the trip. He strips fitter but maps poorly again and may just be open to a flat one 2nd up. He remains a Gold Standard Place play with KT up.

5. JUNEAU PRIDE: A lightly raced 4yo who ran 3rd as a Gold Standard play for us last time out, he has built steadily in short career with XR 88 then 90 and last starts XR 94 was excellent as he was up in weight and trip. Maps Golden 7 but Non elite hoop so he is also a Gold Standard Place Play

R6 5. MUST GO: Has hoof on till after 3 runners up cheques in his last 5, 98/99 this T&D last start rings loud and is franked by XR 97 the run prior and by 98/106 also this T&D in another 2nd last time in. ZP jumps on so and being a back marker does get the Gold Standard tick as a 1 x 3 play.

MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE: Was a winning Gold Standard selection for us at start 3 where after +13 and +15 at HVY I suggested the big track would suit at start 3, well he ate it up winning by 2 rating 97/104. He rises in grade and drops 3.5kg with ZP sticking with this back marker. He is the Gold Standard $2 but at 41.2 the place remains just a Win play

R9 6. MARKWIN: We have been with this talented 4yo all along, catching our our when 2nd on debut where his XR 105 was +12. He hasn't missed the podium in 4 since winning 2 more times and last start after being back and very wide turning he was seen doing best work late at 1400m with another XR 105 and to me looks to be crying out for a mile. Maps to get the gun run just behind the speed from the pole and drops a kilo with my man KL on board. He is the Gold Standard and a lovely 1 x 3 play at $4.90.
